Dr. Robert Scanlon

I have been an actively practicing physician since 2002 with a broad base of clinical knowledge and experience, and I have always been fascinated with the film industry. I had my first on set experience when my hospital shot a commercial, and I was one of the two featured physicians, having been in front of the camera and doing the voice over. This positive experience sparked the dream for bringing my knowledge to the film industry, enhancing the story, maximizing viewership and ROI, and ultimately enhancing the legacy of the work itself.

As a Critical Care Medicine specialist my work requires working knowledge and expertise in the spectrum of Medicine and Surgery, Radiology, Obstetrical Emergencies and the ability to assist other physicians with establishing otherwise elusive diagnoses. I maintain patients on life support when critically ill and am certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support. My day-to-day is filled with medical drama!

As a single clinician I feel I can ensure accuracy and authenticity to the content and set design of virtually any medical theme or setting. I would like to help with preproduction writing and editing, as well as set design, training and coaching of actors (how to appear and behave in a medical setting) during the production phase.
